MGA, Mattel Atty Subpoenas Killed In Bratz IP Spat

Law360, New York (October 6, 2010, 4:45 PM EDT) -- In the long-running intellectual property fight over Bratz dolls, a federal judge has quashed Mattel Inc. and MGA Entertainment Inc.'s respective subpoenas of O’Melveny & Myers LLP and a Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP attorney, citing work-product privilege.

Judge David O. Carter of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California granted Mattel's motion Tuesday to stop MGA's subpoena seeking to depose Mattel's outside counsel, Jon Corey of Quinn Emanuel.
