Loan Underwriters Hit MetLife With OT Suit

Law360, New York (October 7, 2010, 4:24 PM EDT) -- Two former MetLife Home Loans underwriters have launched a putative collective action accusing the company of misclassifying them as exempt from overtime pay requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Kathleen Visci and Kelly Hayes lodged a complaint Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, alleging MetLife failed to pay them them overtime for the hours they worked in excess of 40 in a given week.
