Lifting Gum, Steel Duties Would Cause Dumping: DOC

Law360, New York (October 7, 2010, 4:59 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has found that revoking duties on cellulose gum from Finland, the Netherlands and Sweden and stainless steel products from Belgium, Italy, South Africa, South Korea and Taiwan would likely lead to a renewal of predatory pricing.

The International Trade Administration announced the results of the DOC’s five-year reviews of countervailing and anti-dumping duties on the products in Wednesday's Federal Register, saying that lifting the duties “would likely to lead to the continuation or recurrence of dumping.”
