EPA Nears Deal In Suit Over Calif. Air Plan Deadline

Law360, New York (October 7, 2010, 5:14 PM EDT) -- The Sierra Club has reached a tentative deal with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to resolve a suit claiming the regulator shirked its obligations to approve a plan aiming to reduce ozone pollution in California.

Judge Vaughn R. Walker of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Wednesday approved a stipulated motion to stay the case while the parties finalize a settlement they reached on Sept. 30.
