Audit Finds Aramark Overbilled Ky. Prison System

Law360, New York (October 8, 2010, 3:15 PM EDT) -- An audit of the Kentucky Department of Corrections' $12 million food services contract with Aramark Corp. has found that the contractor overbilled by $32,000 and failed to keep adequate documentation of its performance.

Kentucky State Auditor Crit Luallen released a 61-page report Thursday finding that the state's DOC failed to properly monitor the contract, and there were “significant deviations” between operational practices and the contract language.
