2nd Circ. Grants Sprint Emergency Stay in DBSD Ch. 11

Law360, New York (October 7, 2010, 5:55 PM EDT) -- Sprint Nextel Corp. has won a minor victory in a drawn-out fight with DBSD North America Inc. over the communications company's plan to emerge from Chapter 11.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, on Tuesday, ordered an emergency stay prohibiting DBSD and other creditors from implementing the debtor's reorganization plan until the court rules on separate appeals by Sprint and Dish Network Corp.
