GAO Says More VA Contracts Must Go To Wounded Vets

Law360, New York (October 8, 2010, 2:59 PM EDT) -- Small architectural and engineering firms owned by disabled veterans must be given preference in U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs contracts, the U.S. Government Accountability Office has ruled.

Thursday’s decision by the GAO follows a protest of eight VA contracts filed by Powerhouse Design Architects & Engineers, Ltd., a disabled veteran-owned small business in Pittsburgh.
