Bashas' Litigants Drop Objection To Chapter 11 Plan

Law360, New York (October 13, 2010, 5:58 PM EDT) -- Bashas' Inc. and a group of plaintiffs who had sued the company over workplace discrimination have reached an agreement that effectively ends the plaintiffs' objection to the grocery store operator's reorganization plan.

On Tuesday, Bashas' and a group known as the Parra litigants, who have a $36 million claim in the bankruptcy, agreed that whatever court rules on the merits of the discrimination claim would also determine whether the plaintiffs would be entitled to interest payments on the claim, according to a stipulation filed in the...
