11th Circ. Upholds Conviction Of Mortgage Fraudster

Law360, New York (October 14, 2010, 1:37 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has upheld the conviction of alleged mortgage fraudster Larry P. Nardelli, finding that a lower court had properly denied his motions for acquittal and for a new trial.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit affirmed the conviction in a per curiam opinion Wednesday, rejecting Nardelli's argument that the district court had relied too heavily on testimony from co-defendants who had pleaded guilty and were seeking reduced sentences.
