Ivera Sues Hospira Over Medical Cleaning Patent

Law360, New York (October 14, 2010, 1:23 PM EDT) -- Ivera Medical Corp. has accused Hospira Inc. of selling an antiseptic cap for disinfecting valves in intravenous lines that infringes an Ivera patent covering such medical cleaning technology.

In a complaint filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Ivera targeted Hospira's LifeShield Effect IV Cap, claiming it breaches claims in U.S. Patent Number 7,780,794 B2.
