EU High Court Affirms €12.6M Deutsche Telekom Fine

Law360, New York (October 14, 2010, 3:57 PM EDT) -- Germany's Deutsche Telekom AG has lost its bid to duck a €12.6 million ($17.7 million) fine for its allegedly anti-competitive pricing policy, with Europe's highest court dismissing the company's appeal Thursday and ordering it to cough up the cash.

The European Court of Justice ruled that the Court of First Instance, now the General Court, had not erred in April 2008 when it dismissed the phone company's earlier challenge to the European Commission's fine.
