Ex-Aide Accuses KeySpan Of Retaliatory Fire

Law360, New York (March 9, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The former top spokesman at energy giant KeySpan Corporation has accused his one-time employer of illegally firing him as revenge for warning executives about rumors regarding potential accounting improprieties at the utility.

Robert Mahony filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, contending that he was fired after 15 years on the job in retaliation for informing executives about the allegations put forth by Frank Fanning, KeySpan’s former director of accounting research.
