Lehman Tops $1B In Fees Since Ch. 11 Filing

Law360, New York (October 19, 2010, 1:16 PM EDT) -- The total amount Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. has paid to lawyers and others since filing for bankruptcy in September 2008 has passed the $1 billion mark, with restructuring firm Alvarez & Marsal LLC earning $356.4 million and lead counsel Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP collecting $237 million for their work thus far.

Lehman paid out $51.8 million to lawyers and other professionals in September, pushing total fee and expense disbursements over $1 billion as of the end of last month, according to a monthly operating report...
