Numark Seeks 337 Probe Over DJ Equipment

Law360, New York (October 19, 2010, 1:32 PM EDT) -- Audio equipment maker Numark Industries LP has asked the U.S. International Trade Commission to investigate a Hong Kong firm for allegedly importing products that infringe a Numark trademark for disc jockey and mixing equipment.

Kowicon, Hong Kong-based Dj-Tech Ltd. violated Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 by using its website to advertise electronic device mixers bearing confusingly similar marks to those owned by Numark, according to a complaint lodged Friday in the International Trade Commission.
