Stanford Seeks Release Under Speedy Trial Act

Law360, New York (October 19, 2010, 6:40 PM EDT) -- Imprisoned financier Robert Allen Stanford has asked to be released pending trial, saying the court made no findings under the Speedy Trial Act when it set his trial date 13 months out — far beyond what the act typically allows for prisoners awaiting trial.
