DOC Hits Chinese Off-Road Tire Exporter With Duties

Law360, New York (October 20, 2010, 12:52 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has preliminarily hit Chinese exporter Hebei Starbright Tire Co. Ltd. with countervailing duties of nearly 31 percent and anti-dumping duties of more than 20 percent for its off-the-road tires.

The U.S. International Trade Administration revealed the new rates on Tuesday as part of its preliminary determination in its review of anti-dumping and countervailing duties for the tire imports covering 2008-2009 and 2007-2008, respectively.
