Amtrak, Insurers Settle Crane Accident Coverage Suit

Law360, New York (October 19, 2010, 1:29 PM EDT) -- Following a settlement, Amtrak has asked a federal court to dismiss its coverage suit against a bevy of insurers over lawsuits filed by contracted workers who were injured in a 2004 crane accident at a tunnel site in Queens, N.Y.

National Railroad Passenger Corp., which does business as Amtrak, and the insurance defendants asked the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Monday to dismiss the case with prejudice pursuant to a stipulated order.
