Senate Becomes Latest To Investigate Mercury

Law360 (March 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In an unusual move, a Senate subcommittee has asked Hewlett-Packard Co. to disclose information on executive compensation and stock option grants at Mercury Interactive Corp., the software company it acquired last year for nearly $5 billion.

HP said Friday in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that the permanent investigations subcommittee of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs had sent it an information request.
