Thermo Faces Antitrust, IP Suit Over Equipment Resales

Law360, New York (October 20, 2010, 3:29 PM EDT) -- Silicon Turnkey Solutions Inc. has accused Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. of running a monopoly, breaching a contract and misusing a copyright in an effort to prevent the resale of digital testing equipment to third-party purchasers.

Joanne Carlson of Sedgwick Detert Moran & Arnold LLP lodged the complaint on behalf of Silicon in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Tuesday, hitting Thermo with claims of copyright violation and misuse, breach of contract, interference with prospective economic advantage and Sherman Act violations....
