Jury Convicts Brothers In Life Insurance Scheme

Law360, New York (March 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Florida jury has convicted two brothers of mail and wire fraud in a scheme to cheat investors who gave them money to buy life insurance policies from the elderly and terminally ill.

C. Keith and Jesse LaMonda Jr. face lengthy stays in prison after a jury in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida found them guilty on March 6. Their sentencing is set for May 17.
