ConCarb's Suit Broke Insurance Pact, Judge Rules

Law360, New York (October 21, 2010, 12:27 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has determined that industrial carbon producer Continental Carbon Co. breached an agreement with National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa., by suing the insurer in federal court, dealing the company a blow in a long-running battle over coverage for millions of dollars worth of pollution claims.
