Ex-HR Exec Hits MasterCard With Whistleblower Suit

Law360, New York (October 21, 2010, 1:14 PM EDT) -- A former human resources executive with MasterCard International Inc. has filed a whistleblower suit against the company, accusing the credit card giant of wrongfully terminating him after he voiced concerns about alleged employee classification and income tax problems.

Don Ascare, a former vice president of human resources at MasterCard's O'Fallon, Mo. office, originally filed the suit in Missouri state court on Sept. 9, but it was moved Wednesday to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. He is accusing MasterCard of wrongful discharge...
