Disney, Zynga Hit With Online Gaming Patent Suit

Law360, New York (October 22, 2010, 2:24 PM EDT) -- The Walt Disney Co., Zynga Game Network Inc. and others have been targeted in a suit brought by a San Francisco-based company alleging infringement of an interactive online gaming patent.

Everglades Interactive LLC filed suit Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, claiming that Disney’s Sorority Life, Zynga’s Mafia Wars and others’ online games violate the patent-in-suit because they allow online players to collect and trade game pieces to try to make winning combinations.
