Man Pleads Guilty In $100M Life Settlement Scheme

Law360, New York (October 21, 2010, 6:49 PM EDT) -- A Texas man pled guilty Thursday to his role in a $100 million scheme to market life settlements to investors by vastly overstating the abilities and past successes of A&O Resource Management Ltd. and its affiliates.

Eric M. Kurz, 46 of The Woodlands, Texas, pled guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and money laundering under a plea agreement filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
