WTO Delays Report On Chinese Raw Material Exports

Law360, New York (October 22, 2010, 12:10 PM EDT) -- A World Trade Organization panel has decided to wait until April to release a report on China's export restrictions for certain critical raw materials, requested by the U.S., the European Union, Canada, Mexico and other countries that claim the restrictions violate free trade rules.

The chairman of the WTO dispute settlement panel convened to examine the matter said in a statement Thursday that the panel had consulted with the parties and expected to conclude its work on the report by April 2011.
