Judge Tosses Silicon Storage Case

Law360, New York (March 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A district court judge has tossed a class action securities suit filed against semiconductor maker Silicon Storage Technology, ruling that the plaintiffs’ allegations were not particularized to adequately meet the pleading standard.

Judge Phyllis J. Hamilton of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California found that the bulk of the plaintiffs’ evidence was derived from a pricing report drafted by an industry consultant and based on wide industry trends rather than specific events at SST.
