AIG Unit's Win Upheld In Mold Coverage Suit

Law360, New York (October 22, 2010, 6:51 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has rejected Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies Inc.'s challenge to a ruling that an American International Group Inc. affiliate did not owe defense coverage for claims alleging the company’s products were defective and vulnerable to unsightly mold and fungal growth.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit handed down a nine-page unpublished opinion Friday affirming a district court's decision to grant summary judgment to AERT's insurer, American International Specialty Lines Insurance Co.
