Sensata Discloses Potential FCPA Violations

Law360, New York (October 26, 2010, 1:30 PM EDT) -- Netherlands-based Sensata Technologies Holding NV has admitted to U.S. regulators that one of its subsidiaries may have violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act in connection with an unspecified business relationship in China.

In a quarterly filing lodged Friday with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the sensor and control engineering company explained that an internal investigation by its board of directors’ Audit Committee uncovered untoward conduct, and the business relationship in question had been severed.
