Carpenter Contractors Enters Ch. 11 In Fla.

Law360, New York (October 26, 2010, 12:57 PM EDT) -- Carpenter Contractors of America Inc., which provides carpentry services to builders of new homes in Illinois and Florida, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

The company, an Illinois corporation based in Pompano Beach, Fla., filed its petition Monday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida. The company listed assets of between $50 million and $100 million and debts of $10 million to $50 million.
