Super 8's $2.8M Settlement With Franchisees Approved

Law360, New York (October 27, 2010, 12:55 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has given his blessing to a $2.75 million settlement between Super 8 Motels Inc. and a class of franchisees who alleged the hotel chain had tacked on additional fees in violation of franchise agreement contracts.

Judge Lawrence L. Piersol of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Dakota on Tuesday ordered final approval of the settlement between Super 8 and 160 franchisees.
