Taxi Cos. Want Out Of $4.6M Insurer Arbitration

Law360, New York (October 27, 2010, 12:48 PM EDT) -- Two taxi affiliations in Chicago are seeking a permanent exit from an arbitration proceeding with three insurers that allege the groups must set aside at least an additional $4.6 million to cover deductibles on future claims.

Yellow Cab Affiliation Inc. and Wolley Cab Association Inc. filed their lawsuit Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against New Hampshire Insurance Co., Granite State Insurance Co. and Lexington Insurance Co.
