NYU Grad Students Get Another Chance To Unionize

Law360, New York (October 27, 2010, 7:45 PM EDT) -- The National Labor Relations Board has reversed a decision that blocked New York University graduate students assistants from unionizing, arguing that "compelling reasons" exist to reconsider a 2004 board ruling that said the students had no right to form unions.

In a 2-1 decision issued on Monday, the NLRB reinstated the petition from the Graduate Students Organizing Committee of the UAW and remanded the matter to a regional director for a hearing and decision.
