Harris Flight Data Patents Survive FedEx Assault

Law360, New York (October 28, 2010, 3:55 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has preserved a jury's decision that FedEx Corp. infringed a host of patents for a flight data system held by Harris Corp., ruling that the technology company did not engage in inequitable conduct when it procured the patents.

Judge John Antoon II of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida on Wednesday rejected FedEx's request that he find the patents unenforceable because Harris allegedly withheld information from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
