China's Sun Group Challenges Duties On Pipe Exports

Law360, New York (October 28, 2010, 4:09 PM EDT) -- Chinese pipe exporter Sun Group Co. Ltd. is challenging a 27.12 percent dumping margin on its pipe and tube products, saying the U.S. Department of Commerce used incorrect data to calculate labor and sales figures.

Commerce failed to deduct selling, general and administrative costs in calculating Sun Group's indirect selling expenses ratio, and used wage data from multiple countries to determine labor costs when it should have relied only on statistics from India, according to a complaint filed Wednesday in the U.S. Court of International Trade....
