CREW Sues DOJ Over Abramoff Interview

Law360, New York (October 28, 2010, 2:00 PM EDT) -- The nonprofit watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington has accused the U.S. Department of Justice of preventing disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff from speaking to the media.

In a Freedom of Information Act suit filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, CREW said it is seeking documents related to a request by documentary filmmaker Alex Gibney to interview Abramoff for his film “Casino Jack and the United States of Money.”
