GAO Says Bid Protest Doesn't Withstand Web Search

Law360, New York (October 28, 2010, 3:31 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has turned back a contractor’s bid protest, saying the contractor’s claim that the bid winner was erroneously credited with contract work done by an unrelated “predecessor company” doesn't withstand a simple Web search.

Protestor Staff Tech Inc. argued there was nothing in bid winner Bearskin Services' proposal for a U.S. Department of Energy information technology contract that proved it was really related to alleged predecessor Wyandotte Net Tel, whose good contract performance the company cited, the GAO said in a report...
