Kilpatrick Stockton Hires Simmons IP Heads In London, New York

Law360, New York (August 25, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a double whammy seen as a big boon for Kilpatrick Stockton’s international aspirations, the 470-attorney firm has hired both the London and New York heads of intellectual property at U.K.-based powerhouse Simmons & Simmons.

In a surprise move, the Atlanta-based firm said it had hired IP attorneys Helen Newman and Christopher Woods, both of whom will join the firm as partners. Newman will join the firm’s London office, while Woods, Simmons’ practice leader in New York, will work out of Kilpatrick’s new Big Apple offices...
