Duo Handed Jail Sentences Over Stock Fraud

Law360, New York (October 29, 2010, 6:38 PM EDT) -- A securities attorney and a former stockbroker have each been sentenced to more than a decade in prison and must hand over more than $43 million in forfeited proceeds for participating in a massive pump-and-dump stock manipulation scheme, federal prosecutors said Friday.

G. David Gordon, a securities attorney, and Richard Clark, a businessman and former stock broker, have been sentenced to 188 months and 151 months in prison, respectively, for their roles in the fraud, according to Assistant Attorney General Lanny A. Breuer and U.S. attorney...
