E.U. Court Affirms €6.8M British Airways Fine

Law360, New York (March 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A European Union high court on Thursday rebuffed British Airways’ bid to overturn a €6.8 million fine it received for abusing its dominant position in the United Kingdom airline industry in the 1990s.

The European Court of Justice, based in Luxembourg, upheld a 2003 ruling by the European Court of First Instance that dismissed an earlier appeal by the U.K. airliner over its practices.
