Convicted Chicago Trash Contractor Seeks Acquittal

Law360, New York (November 1, 2010, 1:50 PM EDT) -- A businessman convicted of bid-rigging in September after his company won a $1.7 million contract to repair plastic garbage carts used by residents of Chicago has asked for an acquittal or a new trial, claiming the government "fell woefully short" of proving its case.

Urban Services of America Inc. co-owner and Vice President Steven Fenzl asked Judge Ruben Castillo of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois for the relief in a filing Friday.
