Pfizer Recalls 38,000 More Bottles Of Lipitor

Law360, New York (November 1, 2010, 3:41 PM EDT) -- Pfizer Inc. is recalling an additional 38,000 bottles of the cholesterol drug Lipitor in the U.S. after receiving reports of a musty odor emanating from some bottles made by a third-party supplier.

Pfizer initiated the recall after receiving two customer reports of an unusual odor, the company said in a statement Friday. Similar complaints of weird smells motivated Pfizer to recall 191,000 bottles earlier this year in the U.S. and Canada.

Affected in this recall are two lots of Lipitor 40 mg tablets, the company said....
