Judge Invalidates Ormco Patents In Suit Over Clear Braces

Law360 (August 27, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal court has declared Ormco Corp.’s patents for teeth straightening invalid, throwing out the company’s lawsuit against rival Align Technology, Inc.

Judge Gary L. Taylor of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California granted Align’s summary judgment of invalidity but denied Ormco's summary judgment motion seeking a finding of invalidity of Align's patents, Align said.
