French Doctor Busted For Allegedly Selling Inside Tips

Law360, New York (November 2, 2010, 5:58 PM EDT) -- A French doctor has been arrested in the U.S. and charged with insider trading for allegedly passing confidential information he gained from clinical trials to a portfolio manager who used it to avoid $30 million in losses.

Prosecutors filed a criminal complaint against Yves Benhamou, a doctor who worked for Rockville, Md.-based Human Genome Sciences Inc., on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
