Barton, Upton Jockey For Control Of Key Committee

Law360, New York (November 12, 2010, 1:33 PM EST) -- Reps. Joe Barton, R-Texas, and Fred Upton, R-Mich., may be engaged in an increasingly caustic fight for the leadership of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, but experts say any differences between them are likely to be stylistic rather than substantive.

Though Upton is considered more of a moderate than Barton, they have very similar positions on key issues, including a desire to block the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency from regulating greenhouse gas emissions.
