Poker Players File For Summary Judgment

Law360, New York (March 16, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The ongoing dispute between World Poker Tour Enterprises Inc. and seven professional poker players heated up Thursday when the players filed a motion for summary judgment, claiming they had enough evidence to prove their case.

The players filed suit against WPT Enterprises in July 2006 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, alleging the company shut out competition by entering into an agreement with casinos that host only WPT-televised poker tournaments.
