InFocus Sues 3M Over Digital Projector Patent

Law360, New York (September 1, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Digital projector company InFocus Corp. has filed a lawsuit against 3M Co., alleging that 3M has infringed on an InFocus patent.

The lawsuit was filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon, the company said.

InFocus' suit alleges that St. Paul, Minn.-based 3M copied a safety feature on InFocus projectors that prevents users from receiving an electric shock when they change a burned-out bulb in an InFocus projector.
