Airlines Mulling Fuel Surcharge Settlement

Law360, New York (March 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- British Airways and Virgin Atlantic Airways have entered into mediation in hopes of resolving a California class action dispute stemming from allegations that the airlines conspired to fix prices on fuel surcharges.

The airlines indicated earlier this month at a San Francisco court hearing that they were in the midst of negotiations over the compensation claims, with a British Airways spokesperson confirming on Monday that the carriers had entered into mediation.
