South Bay Exec Defends Info Request In Kickback Case

Law360, New York (November 10, 2010, 12:37 PM EST) -- The chief executive of clothing distributor South Bay Apparel Inc. has renewed his bid for a more detailed accounting of the government’s case against him regarding an alleged $350 million kickback scheme with an Aeropostale Inc. executive.

Prosecutors claim South Bay owner Douglas Dey paid Aeropostale Chief Merchandising Officer Christopher S. Finazzo $14 million in kickbacks between 1996 and 2006 in exchange for over-market price contracts with the mall staple.
