Thinkmap Tries To Nix Data System Patent

Law360, New York (November 12, 2010, 12:56 PM EST) -- Thinkmap Inc. has filed suit in an effort to invalidate a patent covering a data management system that a patent-holding company has brandished against the software developer.

The complaint, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, claims that WB Ventures LLC has threatened Thinkmap with infringement allegations even though none of Thinkmap’s products fall under the scope of the patent.
