HP, JVC Sued Over Video Indexing Patent

Law360, New York (November 11, 2010, 1:04 PM EST) -- JVC Americas Corp., Hewlett-Packard Co. and LG Electronics USA Inc. are among the electronics giants accused of infringing a broadly asserted patent covering video indexing technology.

The complaint, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, claims that JVC and others make and sell DVD and Blu-Ray disc recorders that incorporate technology belonging to InMotion Imagery Technologies LLC.
